A little about me
I'm a strategic communications professional living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I specialize in the handling of internal/employee communication within organizations on the verge of big, small, short- and long-term change, and I have 10+ years of experience managing and leading projects in the financial, food, media, retail, and transportation industries.

A multi-industry history
with experience in moving quickly and effectively
My career began at the top-ranked historically black college, Howard University, where I served as Business and Technology Section Editor for the award-winning student newspaper, The Hilltop, and graduated with a degree in journalism. Shortly after graduation, I began consulting in Los Angeles. The City of Angels helped me grow a network of small, mid-sized, and large clients in a variety of industries, supporting them with branding, web design, creative writing, technical writing, and newsletter design.
After a few years, I took on full-time employee communications projects in the American Heartland working on employee communication projects with railroad titans Union Pacific, BNSF Railway, and Amtrak, and food producer Conagra Brands. I showed off my intranet and internal communication chops with 2013 and 2014 projects for retailer Ascena Retail Group and media giant News Corp, respectively.
With more professional experience under my belt, and a growing passion for the niche realm of employee and internal communications, I took on a role in Los Angeles with global food producer ARYZTA as their strategic communications manager.
In 2016, I moved home to Charlotte to be closer to my mother. I briefly consulted with Sealed Air, and shortly after, was offered a position with Bank of America Merchant Services. At Merchant Services, I led internal communications strategy, supported product market initiatives, led editorial meetings, wrote and distributed employee messages, produced short videos, created intranet content, and redesigned the weekly internal e-newsletter.
